Omonia Himarras denounced in today’s announcement the involvement of a party member and local party leaders and states that the evidence will be submitted to the court
Complaints about vote-buying and extortion by the Socialist Party officials in Himarra a few hours before the opening of the polls are increasing.
Omonia Himarras denounced in today’s statement the involvement of a member of the party and local party leaders and states that the evidence will not be published but will be filed directly in court. In a photo we secured, Socialist party leaders and aldermen can be seen next to government vehicles outside the electoral office of Vangelis Tavos, the government’s candidate for the municipality. The purpose of the government vehicles being there remains to be revealed.
Meanwhile, high-ranking officials of the Albanian government remain in Himara, including the former head of the country’s secret services and a current official of the Albanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The announcement of Omonia
Heaps of complaints from all over the territory of the municipality and especially from the province of Hore Vranisht, but also from the villages of Keparo and Borsi for an attempt to buy off voters from a former prefect of Hore Vranisht and a deputy of the SK who comes from the province in question. Clearly from the level of pressure there are also persons from the deep parastatal to intensify the degree of pressure years more. For the above complaints there are evidences which we will put at the disposal of justice for further proceedings.
At this point, a little less than 24 hours before the opening of the polls, we want to draw attention to the fact that we demand from all agencies and competent bodies that fair and clean elections be held in Himara.
We warn in all directions that no attempt to alter the electoral process and its result will be tolerated, such as non-identification of voters, use of fake ID and vote photography. All the above cases will be reported immediately and those responsible will face the law.
