The Minister of Foreign Affairs will go to Brussels to take part in the informal meeting of EU Foreign Ministers
Meeting with his Turkish counterpart Hakan Fidan the foreign minister will have George Gerapetritis tomorrow, Thursday in Brussels.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs will go to Brussels in order to take part in the informal meeting of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the European Union.
Giorgos Gerapetritis’ tete-a-te with Hakan Fidan will take place before the working lunch that the European ministers will have with the Turkish Foreign Minister.
According to diplomatic sources, the subject of the meeting will be, among other things, Euro-Turkish relations, the Cyprus issue and Greek-Turkish relations in view of the upcoming meeting on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York between the Prime Minister and the Turkish President.
At the informal meeting of EU foreign ministers, the war in Ukraine, in the presence of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, Dmytro Kuleba, and the political situation in Venezuela will be discussed, among other things. The crisis in the Middle East will also be discussed, in the presence of the UN Coordinator for humanitarian aid and reconstruction in Gaza, Sigrid Kaag, with whom Mr. Gerapetritis will also have a personal meeting.
