Petsas in SKAI: Plan to receive about 15,000 refugees from Ukraine – Changing the scene for the whole world

by

Deputy Interior Minister Stelios Petsas spoke about the war in Ukraine and Russia’s statements against Greece.

Mr Petsas said the statements by Zakharova, a spokeswoman for the Russian Foreign Ministry, were unacceptable.

“Instead of looking back at its history, Russia is trying to change the history that has emerged in recent years, after the creation of the United Nations and two world wars,” he said.

He even stated that the statements of the Russian Embassy in Greece show a lack of composure.

“The Russian leadership is doing something that is blatantly illegal under international law and inhumane.”

Regarding the evacuation of civilians from the cities of Ukraine and the Greek expatriates, he said that “things are very difficult. There is a large Greek community in Ukraine. “We are trying to free those who want to leave through our own diplomatic authorities.”

He stressed that the Greek government has a plan to receive about 15,000 refugees from Ukraine.

On how the war could unfold, he said: “It is clearly a change of scenery for the whole world. “It’s very easy to get away with it.”

Finally, for Turkey, he said that he “swallows right and left”, because he has a nervousness.

“No matter how much the Turks shout, they do not become stronger.”
