“People credit me with the fact that PASOK has returned autonomous and strong – I am positive about holding a debate, but the right time must be found”
Just a few days before the second and final round that will determine who will ultimately be in the leadership of Harilaou Trikoupi and its president PASOK, Nikos Androulakiswas invited to talking about all the developments around the internal party process.
Initially, he emphasized that throughout this period PASOK demonstrated a special political culture, with dialogue and political ethos, which, as he said, is also reflected in the polls. “So I want to thank the hundreds of volunteers who helped make this a highly successful process. I think we achieved something very important and the world, with very few exceptions, did not suffer”. In addition, he recalled that the participation from 2017 to 2021 again by about 40,000 people had increased, as now, considering that the participation was great even now, being a “starting point for the continuation”.
As for his subject debateMr. Androulakis assured that he is positive for a debate between him and Haris Doukas, however, as he said, “the right time, day and time with high television ratings should be found for it to be the same as the first debate between the 6 ».
“People credit me with the fact that PASOK has returned autonomous and strong”
“Yesterday I met with Pavlos Geroulanos, he even mentioned some proposals to me. I think there are no big differences and this was also seen in the pre-election campaign. Obviously, Sunday’s result shows that people believe in me that PASOK has returned as an autonomous pole in the political system. We succeeded in both unity and renewal, after all, in the younger generations we quadrupled our percentages”, the president of PASOK then noted.
At the same time, he emphasized that he does not see major differences between him and Haris Doukas, pointing out that there are different approaches, but “if we discuss them, synthetic opinions may emerge, as in Greek-Turkish”. In fact, he himself made it clear that he would not like to enter into the debate about 70-30 percentages, because he could, with the same logic, say that “80% disapprove of the person of Mr. Doukas for the presidency of PASOK”.
Finally, to a question about whether Haris Doukas will have an active role in the party in the event of his re-election, he said that everyone will, including people who were not candidates, but had a critical role as factors, with Education and Health being the main priorities. “In any case, I can’t imagine a PASOK co-governing with the ND, however, for the next elections, bilateral enlargement is important
