The proposal of Pavlos Polakis for a meeting of the five presidential candidates on Thursday was reportedly accepted by Stefanos Kasselakis, only asking for a time change, i.e. instead of 1 in the afternoon it would be 10.30 in the morning.
“I took the initiative and convene a meeting of all candidates tomorrow at 1 in Koumoundourou to arrange the details of the pre-election campaign for smoothness and calmness, the dates of teleconferences” announced earlier Pavlos Polakis from the peristyle of the Parliament.
As he said, “Farantouris and Gletsos will come. As institutional guarantors, Nikos Pappas and Rania Svigou will be there and Famellos and Kasselakis have been informed! I am waiting for them to respond to the meeting in order to chart a different course from the last few days for SYRIZA”.

In the meantime, Sokratis Famellos officially submitted his candidacy for the presidency of SYRIZA. The nomination, accompanied by 117 signatures of members of the Central Committee, took place, as previously announced, at noon on Wednesday. On Tuesday, Mr. Famellos sent SYRIZA his letter of intent.
