“Our goal, in 2027, is to approach the European average” waiting time, said Mr Kyriakos Mitsotakisshortly after the start of the first scheduled afternoon surgery.
“For our fellow citizens who have been waiting years for a scheduled surgery, I believe today is a good day,” the prime minister says in his post and adds: “The goal is to approach the European average by the end of our term, in 2027.” waiting.
He also emphasizes that last year in June he had announced major changes in YOU. He adds that with 37,000 free afternoon surgeries, funded by the Recovery Fund, 1,500 are already planned for the first two weeks.
“Furthermore, we have digitized the Single Surgery List so that we can be absolutely sure that the priority list is followed,” adds the prime minister.
