The Turkish president Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis agreed on Sunday to improve bilateral relations and focus on a positive agenda, the Turkish Communications Directorate said.
In addition to bilateral relations, a number of regional and global developments were discussed, including the latest geopolitical issues and the implications of the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
During the meeting between the two leaders, it was stressed that Turkey and Greece have a special responsibility in the security architecture of Europe, which is changing with the Russian attack on Ukraine, the statement added.

Reiterating Turkey’s steps to open a new page in bilateral relations, Mr Erdogan told Mr Mitsotakis that he believed in progress on issues related to the Aegean Sea, the fight against terrorism and irregular migration.
The issues can be resolved through honest and sincere dialogue and so the two neighboring countries should always maintain dialogue and not only in times of crisis, the Turkish president added.
