“We said to get a serious opposition. Not the exponents of a serious populism”, he says, among other things, on the occasion of PASOK’s amendment
The government representative Pavlos Marinakis gave a response to PASOK on the occasion of the amendment he tabled on the commissions of the banks with a video he uploaded on TikTok.
“In the beginning you proposed the taxation of banks’ excess profits. When you realized that such a thing would not only not solve the problem, but would make it worse, you decided to copy, essentially, what the Government had already announced would be said in the Parliament, in the debate on the Budget”, he said in a video which was uploaded to Tik Tok by government representative Pavlos Marinakis.
“And, okay, you want to copy. At least do it right. Is it possible to propose the administrative setting of interest rates in the granting of loans, while this has been prohibited for decades by the European Central Bank? Guys, we said get a serious opposition. Not the exponents of a serious populism,” the government spokesman added.
