Fire at him Municipality of Athens unleashed by Kostas Bakoyannis on the occasion of its reopening club located at Vouliagmenis avenue which served alcohol to minors.

Mr. Bakoyiannis, with his post on social media, accuses the Municipality of Athens of frivolity, stressing that the decision to seal the club days ago in Vouliagmenis is unjustified and unclear, as far as the public interest is concerned.

In his post, the former mayor of Athens specifically mentions:

“This is what happens when sterile communication and frivolity mask substance and seriousness. The club that put children at risk because it served alcohol is reopening. Not because justice is bad and merciless, but because – as he states – the sealing decision is unjustified and unclear, as far as the public interest is concerned. Unfortunately, the Municipality of Athens was exposed and proved inferior to the circumstances, in an issue as delicate and sensitive as the protection of our children”.

The reaction of the mayor of Athens was immediate Harry Doukaswho attacked Kostas Bakoyannis, accusing him of acting as “unsolicited defender of the businessman who served alcohol to minors”.

“In his passionate attempt to create a problem for the Municipality, he “forgot” that he himself voted for the Municipal Council’s decision to close the store, which he now allegedly “complains” in a post on social media.

“Mr. Is Bakoyiannis with the interests of the bar or with the interests of our society? Let him inform us” concludes Mr. Duke.
