Did the “organs” begin between Sokratis Famellos and Pavlos Polakis? – Koumoundourou appeared with two lines on the critical issue of banks
By Antonis Anzoletou
The “instruments” between him began Socrates Famellou and his Pavlos Polakis; No one in SYRIZA he was not surprised by the fact that the Chaniot MP in his speech to the Parliament mentioned that it should “let’s take the example of National Bank, which SYRIZA says in the most official way, that it should become a public bank again”. He has spoken about nationalization several times in the past and his position is well known. What bothered the seventh floor of Koumoundourou is that he chose to make this reference in the budget discussion. That is, at the time when Sokratis Famellos had asked for a single voice, sending a message of unity of the party with the aim of poll recovery.
The president of SYRIZA, in his intervention on Thursday, had taken a completely different direction, stressing that “what we are saying is that the bank should operate according to private economic criteria, that the State should have an enhanced presence and control so as to ensure that there will be no cartel”.
Koumoundourou appeared with two lines on the crucial issue of banks in the country’s top bill, with Pavlos Polakis making it clear with his self-determination that he will not let the 43% “dowry” he won in the internal party elections go to waste. According to information, Sokratis Famellos allegedly gave him a “red light” for the vice-presidency from the first moment, and possibly now the “number two” of SYRIZA is preparing for a tough “bra de fer” ahead of the spring conference. The Transparency sector cannot cover the “half of the party” it represents, as it declared on the evening of November 24.
Alexis Tsipras: The opposition has fallen
Seeing the situation that also prevails in SYRIZA, Mr Alexis Tsipras from the Vima conference, a bell rang about the fact that there is no opposition in the country and that the leaders of the specific political forces must come to an agreement from now on. “Nailing” Nikos Androulakis and the appointment he had with Kyriakos Mitsotakis, he emphasized that “consensus is not the issue today. The opposition is the point”, pointing out that PASOK did not do anything to rise: “it got 11.8% in the national elections and 12.9% – 13% in the European ones”. “We knew that governments fall, not oppositions”mockingly commented the former prime minister who aimed his “arrows” once again at Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
In the first question, he stated that “former prime ministers are usually chased by the news when there is a shortage of active actors”, while regarding his relationship with Antonis Samaras, he recalled the common line they had in the Prespa Agreement, adding: “to remember something said by the late Charilaos Florakis who was a philosopher. When you pee in the sea, you find it in the salt. That’s how I think Mr. Mitsotakis and Mr. Samaras stepped on it now.”
The former prime minister, speaking about Greek-Turkish, said that a strategy is needed to delimit the continental shelf / EEZ in The Hague with red lines. “I am troubled by the abolition of the investigations”, he added. He spoke of three different strategies and the first “is that of procrastination, that is, we do what we discuss, but we don’t risk a solution”. He added, in fact, that “calm waters are not always calm… We had big crises every 10 years”. Regarding the second strategy, he emphasized that “there is also a logic with which I do not agree, whatever the solution may be”. On the contrary, “the third strategy that in my opinion the country should have is the one that has a beginning, middle and end to grow the country” noted Mr. Tsipras, while he continued saying that “international law is a great ally”.
