How can Justice “meet” with sports? The answer was given to recent legislation to tackle youthful offenses, where the integration of minors is chosen, with mild delinquency, in amateur sports clubs throughout Greece. Already, as the Deputy Minister of Justice revealed in RES-EIA, John Bougas “We were pleased to find that there are many entries that want abusive minors to integrate them into programs, so that their energy can manifest themselves in a productive and beneficial way, while also resolving the reforming measure imposed on them.”

Mr Bougas, who was honored by the Hellenic Judo Federation during the Pan -Hellenic Judo/Youth Championship, said that the success of these programs is based on the cooperation of judges, sports clubs and coaches, as the aim is to socialize and socialize.

“The aim, especially for the minors of the Greek state and the Ministry of Justice, is of course to be able to be able to be able to children, the minors, who for whatever reason have violated the law in a sensitive phase of their lives, to reintroduce them to the community, and to give them all those skills and their choices.

But what is the “key” to be able to achieve this innovative action? Mr Bougas, in particular, stood in the “possibility of judges, seeing the personality of the minor, to order it, to appoint it by their decision. On the other hand, how they will behave in minor offenders, unions or federations involved in the program. You realize that we are talking about a measure of socialization through sport. We look forward to this and I am absolutely sure that we all perceive its high purpose and will help in that direction. “

Mr Bougas did not hide that fighter sports (martial arts) can help in this direction, given that their teachers place particular emphasis on the philosophy that governs one of them, part of which is discipline.

“Teachers are also the standards of sport. The teachers are inspired by athletes. Consequently, it is really the core and it is the key to success, along with the small community that develops in sports clubs. A community between athletes, teachers, and even parents, who can find a way of social expression in this positive environment and those who have problems occasionally in their lives by law and have been forced to submit to this sentence. They should not feel it as a penalty through this process, but as a possibility, as a choice of reintegration into society. This is our purpose. We do not want punishment for minors. We want an option in one direction to see things differently through this production process. And for us, the production process of cultural and sports clubs is very important because it develops a social model through an organized behavior, with the ideals of sport and from a community of teachers, athletes, agents, parents, who can have a very beneficial effect. “

Mr. Bougas, on the occasion of his presence at the Pan -Hellenic Judo Teen/Youth Championships, also referred to the athletic development of Fokida through such high level events.

“It is a great pleasure for us to host such an important and great event and even an event that has a record of entries. You realize that this is a very honorable place for Fokida. I think that our infrastructure today and in the future that will improve sports infrastructure will be able to host major events. Fokida also has the athletic ideal. We have Delphi. It is the area that from here in mythology began people. Consequently, I think all of these symbols help to act as a pole of attraction for the organization of major sporting events. We are in the center of Greece. Our infrastructure can accommodate them. Therefore, we will be happy to welcome associations and federations for similar events. “
