The minister stressed that “the government’s priority – and an order I have from the prime minister is the effective treatment of illegal immigration and the organization of a functional network of returns and redefining. This is our main political targeting. At the same time, we want to create terms for legal immigration, but with our own rules: we will choose who will come, where they go, where they work and how much they will remain. These are the terms of legal immigration. “
Mr Voridis added that the ministry is in constant cooperation with the municipality of Kos, and announced € 1,440,000 reciprocal projects, which have already been approved. At the same time, biological cleaning facilities for the closed controlled structure are launched.

“The issue of reinforcing the Coast Guard with additional forces has arisen to continue to do the excellent work they are already doing. We have to recognize in our Port Authority his great contribution and defend it to those who try to deprive it and tarnish his work. The government will do everything possible to enhance the power of the Coast Guard in general, but also in Kos. “
