OR Athens It does not consider supplying Ukraine with Patriot air defense systems, a government official said Monday, responding to a Reuters report, which said Ukraine’s Western allies are consulting with Greece and the United States.

In particular, the Reuters report said that Western Ukraine allies are in discussions on the supply of additional Patriot air defense systems in Kiev, with the aim of reaching an agreement before the NATO summit in June.

The US and Greece are among the potential suppliers of these systems, according to the source that spoke on the condition of anonymity.

At the same time, in a separate publication of the New York Times On Sunday, citing four current and former US officials, it is reported that a Patriot -based Patriot system will be sent to Ukraine.

The agreement with Israel on the transfer of the system was closed by the Biden government, a former White House official told the Times, although the information had not previously been known.

This system is expected to arrive in Ukraine this summer, according to the report.

In January, it was reported that the United States withdrew 90 Patriot from the warehouse to Israel and sent them to Poland to hand them over to Ukraine.
