Priority to improve the positive evaluation indicators of the government’s work and to bend the pessimism of citizens
By Gifts Antoniou
The high percentage of citizens insisting on polls to declare that things go in the wrong direction is entering the microscope of the Maximus Grand, which sets the main goal of overthrowing this image. And this is because citizens who believe that the course of things are not good, essentially believe that the policy pursued by the government in key areas is not effective. The reversal of this persistent democratic indication and the recovery of citizens’ confidence is a central issue in the government’s effort to improve its democratic performance.
Whatever satisfaction at the moment, the consolidation of the big poll between the ruling party and the second – whether it is freedom navigation or PASOK, depending on the poll – by the communication staff and by the Group of Consultants around the Grand Maximus. And this is because as long as the negative evaluations persist, it is easy to move potential voters in terms of voting intention. Even a slight increase in percentage that the government is registering and considered positive, is precarious as the positive evaluation indicators of the government do not improve. In a recent Metron Analysis poll, 63% of citizens appear to believe that things are going in the wrong direction, confirming that a compact core of dissatisfaction and pessimism are maintained.
The challenge for the government is clear: to convince citizens that a work is produced to provide answers to the problems and demands of the citizens. And in the effort to strengthen this image, the presence of the Prime Minister himself, who appears to maintain a reinforced positive image over political opponents, is in the effort to strengthen this image. Kyriakos Mitsotakis himself, just two days ago, during his visit to Megara, where the renovated Health Center was presented, made sure to point out that “we know very well to do the job we have in front of us to cover the lost ground. We have to work hard. ” He made sure to stress that “I do not expect the elections to be close to the citizens, I was always with the citizens.” His report is not accidental, as the prime minister’s visits and tours are at the heart of the strategy to boost the government’s profile. Like the constant promotion of activity, which aims to pass on to the citizens the message that the government is working and produces work daily. Today a meeting will be held by the Prime Minister to integrate the personal number of citizenship into identities, which has been announced and that would normally be a statement by the competent ministry. The meeting under the prime minister, however, takes place in the context of highlighting the parameter “we said it and do it”, which is at the heart of the government’s communication counterattack, in order to bent citizens’ mistrust.
At the same time, the government’s communication staff seeks to maintain the initiative of the moves and to define the political agenda without leaving the opposition to define issues that are high in the news. Or even when the opposition raises issues, there is a positive “counterweight” in the spotlight that will balance the impression.
