The Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendias, accompanied by Chief of General Staff General Dimitrios Houpis and Chief of General Staff Lieutenant General Dimitrios – Eleftherios Curse, will go tomorrow, Wednesday, June 4, to France, where he will attend the France.

It is recalled that the Blocks of the Third Greek Frigate “Formion” built at the Salamis Shipyards traveled on Monday, February 5, from Greece to the Naval Group shipyard in Lorian, France, where they were assembled for the next steps.

As part of the FDI HN Frigates program, Naval Group has developed a stable plan to develop new opportunities for the Greek industry, maintaining high -profile jobs and creating long -term economic benefits for Greece.

The plan to participate in Greek companies began in March 2022 at the launch of the FDI program and “contributes to the construction and support of FDI HN frigates and the creation of a strong naval industrial ecosystem in Greece beyond the FDI program,” according to the announcement.

The Greek companies are integrated into the Naval Group’s supply chain and are already able to participate in other programs and future international competitions, increasing their potential as well as their economic benefit and promoting them in the World Maritime Defense Market.
