“For a socially just response to the energy crisis.” PASOK-Movement for Change organizes the Palm Sunday, April 17, 2022the second regional program pre-conference in Kozani.
Against the background of the energy crisis and the price increase rally that cuts the income of households and businesses, PASOK-Movement for Change insists on raising the social agenda.
After all, the Movement for Change is consistent has been proposing for months the imposition of a ceiling on the adjustment clause and on invoicesthe taxation of the super profits of energy companies so that it is not only the state (through subsidies) and the citizens (through increases) that suffer the consequences of the crisis.
In the long-term planning the PASOK-KINAL is in favor of the smoothest detoxification from lignite, ie a shorter transition period with natural gas, so that we can move faster to renewable energy sources. An important place in the proposals of PASOK-KINAL has the fastest transition to the green era with a better network of high connectivity, so that thousands of Greeks are both producers and consumers. Not to be limited only to large RES projects, but to socialize energy production by creating energy communities, especially in the agricultural-livestock sector, in the processing sector, but also in our homes by installing photovoltaics in homes. Investments are needed with the creation of new substations and the upgrade of the network.
The PASOK – Movement for Change has asked him IPTO and HEDNO to prepare a specific study, which will be updated every two years and will answer the question how many renewable energy sources the electricity network can withstand, what projects must be done in order to be able to absorb the renewables that we aim for 2030. According to the program of the pre-conference on energy, the work will be opened by George Arvanitidis, Member of Parliament for Thessaloniki II and Head of the Parliament
