The Prime Minister, Kyriakos Mitsotakismet today at the Maximos Palace with a cross-party delegation of the US House of Representatives, headed by Mr. Frank Pallone, Chairman of the Committee on Energy and Trade.
During the meeting, the excellent level of Greek-American relations was confirmed. The latest developments in Ukraine and the clear stance taken by Greece from the first moment, supporting Ukraine with humanitarian and defense material were discussed.
As for him energy sectorthe Prime Minister analyzed the plan of Greece for its energy adequacy in the midst of this unprecedented international crisis, as well as for its self-sufficiency in the future.
Kyriakos Mitsotakis placed special emphasis on the moves and initiatives undertaken by our country, in order to become an energy gateway to the Balkans and the European Union, thus contributing to Europe’s energy security.
“Whatever way we choose for the transfer of natural gas from the Eastern Mediterranean, Greece will play a decisive role as the point of entry of natural gas from the Eastern Mediterranean to Europe,” said Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
