A call to the “democratic and progressive citizens” to go to the polls SYRIZA-PS on Sunday, regardless of whether they are registered in the party or not, and to “send a clear message of political change”, addressed the president of SYRIZA – Progressive Alliance Alexis Tsipras, during his market tour Polichnis today at noon.
«The life of the citizens with Mr. Mitsotakis is now reminiscent of a survivor. Whoever survives, whoever endures. “This story cannot go on,” Tsipras said in a statement during his tour. Today we see gasoline climbing to almost 2.5 euros, we see inflation climbing to double digits, over 10%, we have been seeing it since 1994. And at the same time we see the party continuing, the looting of public wealth , the golden Boys to get fat salaries, the individuals in energy to make skyrocketing profits, while employees, retirees, freelancers do not have the ability to pay bills, they do not have the ability to make a month.
We call on every democratic, every progressive citizen and the whole world that supported SYRIZA, the young people to put a little stone to put an end to this nightmare. We invite them to the SYRIZA polls on Sunday, whether they are members or not, registered members of the party, in order to give a clear message of political change. It has nothing to do with SYRIZA. It has to do with the future of the place. To take the progressive faction in their hands, but, above all, to take the place of tomorrow in their hands, sending the bill to Mr. Mitsotakis “.
The president of SYRIZA-PS arrived in the center of Polichni where he was welcomed by MPs Katerina Notopoulou, Giannis Amanatidis, Christos Giannoulis, Costas Zouraris, Socrates Famellos, Dora Avgeri, Kyriaki Malama, Theodora pollemata and Theodora .
There he met with the mayor of Pavlos Mela, Dimitris Demourtzidis, with whom he had a short discussion, during which Mr. Tsipras stressed the need for the municipalities to support the citizens who suffer from the wave of accuracy, as the local government, as he said, is the last their shelter.
Contractors of the municipality met with Mr. Tsipras and informed him about their request to be made permanent, saying that there are 25 people.
The president of SYRIZA-PS walked in the main streets, entered shops, talked to shopkeepers and consumers who informed him about their inability to pay the increased electricity bills and expressed their anxiety about what will happen from now on.
An owner of a shop with meat and cold cuts told him that from 800 to 900 euros which was the electricity bill, now it went to 2,200 euros.
A public pensioner stressed that her pension is not enough and said characteristically: “It is a pity at the age of 73 that I can not live with the pension”.
He met a group of students and one of them, who is studying at the International University, protested against the decision to move his school to Serres.
A painter stopped him on the street and presented him with a painting he had painted.
Finally, Mr. Tsipras entered a store where electricity and gas bills are paid and was informed by the employees about the climate that exists for the consumers with the increases in the bills.
