With a 0-3 set defeat, the National Women’s Volleyball team completed its three friendly matches with Turkey in Izmir, reaching “0/3” with its opponent. In Thursday’s match, Marcello Abondanza tested faces and shapes again, starting Todai in the starting lineup, but also Genitsaridis, Spanou as a pair of extremes, with the Greek team being very good at the start of the match (8-6, 14- 10), but, from that point on, Turkey stepped up its performance and won the first set.
In the second set, Turkey pushed from the serve and escaped quickly (8-3, 16-5, 21-14), with Ethniki making a reversal, which was left in the middle.
A big battle took place in the third set as well, with the initial 8-4 becoming 15-14, the National team overturning and leading 20-19, without finally managing to win the set (26-24).
The Greek delegation returns at noon on Friday, with the internationals entering the indoor arena of Rentis on Sunday morning, while on the three days of June 14-16 they will welcome Turkey for the new series of friendly matches.
