The National Table Tennis Teams for the European, Balkan and Mediterranean U15 Championships

A total of 15 boys and girls will initially represent the country at the European Youth Table Tennis Championships, to be held July 6th-15th in Belgrade for Under-15s (boys-girls) and Under-19s (teens-juniors) .

With the same composition, our representative bands will meet earlier in Albena, Bulgaria for the Balkan Youth Championship (June 22-26). A national mission was formed for the Mediterranean Championship of athletes up to 15 years old.

The matches will take place in Rimini, Italy, on June 19-21, and two boys and a girl will take part, as this is how the mixed teams for the team are formed.

The 15 athletes who will compete in the European and Balkan Championships have acquired the right, based on the special score, from the matches-criteria for the formation of the National youth teams.

The missions will be complete with five teenagers, four teenagers, three boys and three girls, in fact with the group of teenagers there is the addition of 19-year-old Iakovos Aivatidis, since the age limit has been raised.

The children, who were found immediately after the aforementioned trios in the special classification of boys and girls, will go to the Mediterranean Under 15 Championship, as decided by E.F.O.E.P.A.

The event will take place at the “Expo Center” in Rimini and includes the team and the simple, as is the case in another young event, the Europe Under 13 Challenge, which will take place in those days (16-19 / 06) in Montenegro with four Greek athletes (Costas Fakaros, Vasiliki Boula, Giannis Kioseloglou, Stella Mavromataki).

The 2022 European Youth Championships and the Balkan Youth Championships have both simple and double of the individual competitions and of course the team competitions.

With only one pending issue, it has been clarified which coaches will accompany the athletes.

In the European Youth Championship, the coach of AEK Costas Madesis will lead the teenagers, the national federal coach of women, George Karytsas, the juniors, the coach of Table Tennis Pefki, Christos Vatsaklis, A. Paides the girls.

In June, they will be in Bulgaria themselves, except for Karytsas, who will have a summer leave and the E.F.O.E.P.A. is in discussions about the coach in the juniors. In the Mediterranean championship U15 will be one in the technical guidance and the coach of the Table Tennis of Taurus, Alexis Arseniadis was chosen.
