Chelsea have dealt another blow to French manager Jules Koundé in the hope of reaching a deal with Didier Deschamps. Didier Deschamps showed that Didier needed surgery due to a long-standing injury.
The 23-year-old started his UEFA Nations League defeat at right-back to Le Bruce in Croatia on Monday night.
However, he was sacked mid-match and was an unused agent in the previous two matches in France this month, with Deschamps later revealing it wasn’t a tactical decision.
Koundé had been battling the injury problem for several months and decided to postpone surgery for the final round of the French match, but will now be under the knife.
“Today I knew his condition well,” Deschamps said when asked about Koundé and his decision to release him.
‘morning [Tuesday] The [surgical] He had problems for several months, so he intervened. “
Deschamps did not specify the extent of Koundé’s injury and how long the Seville defender would remain.
But even if it’s just a small operation, this revelation adds another hurdle for Chelsea. Chelsea are keen to sign the French to strengthen their back line.
Bruce loses Andreas Christensen and Antonio Rudiger on free loan if the contract expires at the end of the month and Thomas Tuchel’s goal goes to right centre-back.
But like last summer, Sevilla plays for the defenders at a tax rate and will not receive more than 65 million euros (655.6 million euros).
That is well below the €80m requested last summer (€568.5m), but Chelsea’s hierarchy told the results of Operation Koundé before deciding whether to spend that amount on the deal.
As well as the deal with the Sevilla star, Chelsea are also considering buying Josco Guardiola’s main target from RB Leipzig, the central defender at left back.
