The date and location of the rematch between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk have been confirmed

The second battle between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk HS was confirmed on August 20 in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia.

The pair defeated Usick (19-0) in London last September on a British score, winning IBF, WBA, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles in the process.

The Ukrainians put these belts in Jeddah as Joshua (24-2) tries to recover from his second loss in his professional career and becomes the world heavyweight champion again.

Joshua said: “It was fascinating. The 12th consecutive heavyweight fight for the 12th World Championship.

“I won the belt, I joined the division, I won another belt, I lost the belt, I became two heavyweight singles champions, and now my story is three heavyweight world champions. What an opportunity!

“There were pros and cons to fighting at the championship level, but every day I get stronger, I learn from the experience and I stop to grow. Happy fighters are dangerous fighters and I am the happiest. I am motivated.”

Joshua has a second battle in Saudi Arabia and is as hopeful as the last Saudi of defeating Andy Ruiz in a rematch after AJ was suddenly beaten by a destroyer in December 2019.

Ushiki strives to maintain a perfect professional record and will fight for the first time in Saudi Arabia.
