Petr Čech has resigned as Chelsea manager and chief executive as Todd Bowle continues to rise to board level after taking charge of the club.

The blues legend returned to Arsenal before retiring after spending ten years in a club career.

After the Czech exit, Marina Granovskaya and Bruce Buck departed. Both resigned after Boel left the club in the hands of Roman Abramovich.

Boel wanted the Czechs to stay at Stamford Bridge while they waited for the pair to leave and asked a 40-year-old to join the club’s new line-up.

But the Czechs told the Americans that it was time to leave the club and that Thomas Tuchel had lost his entire “football structure” with which he had worked since replacing Frank Lampard.

In a brief statement posted on the club’s website, Chechi said that the club’s services are a “great privilege”.

“Over the last three years, playing this role at Chelsea has been a great privilege,” he said.

“Under the new ownership of the club, I feel that it is a good time to leave. I am happy that the club is in good shape with the new owner. Future success on and off the pitch. I am confident.”

Boely, co-owner of the club, said: “Petri is an important member of the Chelsea family. We understand his decision to step down from him and we thank him as a mentor and his loyalty to the club and our community. Thanks for good luck to him. He prayed”.

This means that Chelsea are targeting six signings and Boel is under even more pressure this summer.

Bruce is working on a deal between Raheem Sterling and Ousmane Dembele, and Boyle is keen to sign a deal to start a new era at the club.

However, the ball is unfamiliar with football negotiations, and the departure of so many key figures leaves the club with a power vacuum.

With the new signing, Boyle is likely to sign a new structure at the club, with Bruce interested in former Liverpool transfer leader Michael Edwards.

Ex-Paris Saint-Germain defender Maxwell will also participate.
