It destroyed Croatia and the National Volleyball team is “hunting” for qualification

The men’s volleyball national team swept Croatia 3-0 in the indoor Glyfada for the second matchday of the 2023 European Championship qualifying group and made it 2 out of 2 in the group after a 3-2 win in Norway last year Wednesday.

The national team had three changes in the starting line-up, compared to the premiere, with Giorgos Tzioumakas, Raphael Koumendakis and Thodoris Voulkidis starting in the starting six chosen by Dante Bonifante.

For the second game in a row, Tzioumakas made the difference for Greece in serving, attacking and blocking with 21 points, of which 6 from the nine-meter line and over the net (3-3).

There was no lack of nerves from the match, as with the score at 8-6 in the third set, Mihali went with threatening moods towards the National team and was punished by expulsion from the match by the Ukrainian referee, while Protopsaltis received the red and the score became 8-7.

With consecutive blocks from Koumendakis, Tzioumakas and an ace from Petreas, the difference rose to +4, with the National Team “raising” its performance for the final 25-15 in the last set.

Now, next Wednesday, Greece welcomes Cyprus again at the same stadium.

The sets: 25-12, 25-23, 25-15 in 78 minutes.
