The current president of Flamengo, Rodolfo Landim, was re-elected on Saturday night (04) for another three years in charge of the rubro-negro club. With 1,301 votes cast in Chapa Roxa, he will remain in office for the 2022-24 triennium.

With him, they continue in the direction of the association of Gávea Rodrigo Dunshee, general vice president; Carlos Henrique Fernandes dos Santos and Gustavo Fernandes, president and vice president of the General Assembly.

The 2011 voting was attended by associates eligible to vote. Despite the crisis in the administration, with the loss of the Libertadores title to Palmeiras and the departure of coach Renato Gaúcho, Landim won an expressive victory over the other competitors. Marco Aurélio Asseff, from Chapa Azul, had 284 votes; Walter Monteiro, from Chapa Ouro, 283; Ricardo Hinrichsen, from Chapa Branca, 134. Blanks and nulls totaled 9 votes.

After knowing the results at the polls, Rodolfo Landim made plans. He spoke about restructuring the football department and hiring the coach, who may include a name from outside Brazil.

And he admitted that it will be difficult years. “We are going through pandemic problems, but if we get here in these conditions, we have achieved what we have achieved, I have no doubts that we will be able to achieve even better results”.

Flamengo’s Board of Directors votes, next Tuesday (7), on the budget for 2022, with estimated revenue of around R$ 1 billion.
