For the seventh game of the A1 National women’s table tennis category at SEF, Olympiakos prevailed over AEK with a 3-0 set, made it “6 to 6” and leads the two-round race. One point behind him is Panathinaikos, which did not find it difficult to beat DAO Tavros with 3-1 sets.
In the A1 of men, two matches were played in the same room for the same number of groups. The favorites Olympiacos and Panathinaikos prevailed in their only game and closed the first half without defeat. In the first group, Pera and Tatavla are now together in the second place that leads to the playoffs, while in the respective scoring levels of the second group, AEK bent in the derby Rethymno.
In the men’s A1, the champions of the two groups Olympiakos and Panathinaikos easily defeated Tatavla 3-0 and Chania 3-1 sets respectively.
A big “battle” was given to the second group between AEK and Rethymno, which were equal in second place. AEK did not have Giannis Vlotinos in its trio, however it reached a valuable victory with 3-2 sets. The Cretans had as their first player the French international Paul Gozi, brother of the famous Simon.
In detail, the development of the match AEK-OEA Rethymno 3-2:
Costas Lagogiannis-Nikos Antoniadis 3-1 (11-6, 12-10, 7-11, 11-8)
Iakovos Aivatidis-Paul Gozi 1-3 (12-14, 12-10, 6-11, 10-12)

Aivatidis-Antoniadis 3-0 (11-6, 11-9, 11-8)
In the first group and the crucial match for the second place, Tatavla defeated AS Pera with a 3-0 set. Dimitris Kordoutis was absent from the losers, but in general the picture was completely different in relation to the respective match of the premiere.
The tie now between the two historic clubs with the same origins is unusual. Not so much because they have a 3-0 set victory, but because Pera had not lost a set in the first round and today got one and has an advantage.
