Registration is now open for the 6th edition of the race for health promoted by ICESP (Cancer Institute of the State of São Paulo Octavio Frias de Oliveira), a unit linked to the Hospital das Clínicas of the Faculty of Medicine of USP and to the State Department of Health of Sao Paulo.
The test is scheduled for November 27, National Day to Combat Cancer, precisely as a way of reinforcing the importance of physical activity in preventing the disease. The start will be at 7 am, at Charles Miller Square, in the Pacaembu Sports Complex.
To participate in the event, simply register on the website www.corridoicesprun.org.br. The entire financial result of the test will be fully reverted to the development of assistance, teaching and research projects at the Cancer Institute.
Expecting to bring together up to 3,000 people, the Icesp Run has 5 km and 10 km routes for running, in addition to a 5 km walk. The race will also have batteries for those between 4 and 13 years old.
President of the Board of Directors of ICESP, Professor Paulo Hoff highlights the many benefits that the practice of exercises can bring to people.
“Exercise often contributes to increased immunity and also to reducing body inflammation and improving body composition, also bringing benefits to the mind, such as increased self-esteem, improved sleep and a greater sense of well-being” , explains the teacher.
