PAOK draw with Solaris Sibenik in Thessaloniki

by

THE PAOK had secured his qualification to the next round of the Euro Cup from yesterday Saturday (15/10) and his last match in the Group of the 1st qualifying round (which he himself organized at the Poidio swimming pool in Thessaloniki) against the Croatian Solaris Sibenikon Sunday (16/10) at noon, was only for the Club’s first place and for the prestige.

The “two-headed man from the north” entered without stress, proved once again that he deserves to be among the European elite, touched the victory and finally came to a draw 9-9 with the Croatian team. They finished 3rd in the Group, level with 2nd De Jean, who are favored in the tie, having won the game between them (that was PAOK’s only defeat in the Group, who still had three wins and a draw).

The match was derby with shocking development and constant changes in the score. Kehalaris gave PAOK a 9-8 lead at 1.42 before the break, but Bourbouran equalized in the final 9-9 at 1.14.
