by

Stefanos Tsitsipas emphasized that the victory over Daniil Medvedev in the ATP finals of Turin is great, he considers the upset in the first games important and that he remained calm and analyzed Andrei Rublev, asking for rest.

Analytically:“It’s a big win and I’m very proud of the way I fought. It didn’t look like the end was coming for me, even in the game that Danil served for the win, I felt that if I could get some balls in I would have a chance. It was great to be back in the match, I felt reborn. And the way I finished the match was excellent.

Everything happened in this match and the fact that I managed to stay calm in situations that seemed to get out of my hands was very important.”

As for his next opponent, Andrei Rublev: “It is a difficult opponent, we have played many matches. I need to be “fresh”, so now I need to rest. Certainly, there will be tension on both sides. I have to learn from the previous matches, see what works and approach the match in the best way.”
