Neymar was named the best player in the 4-1 defeat of South Korea, in the round of 16 of the World Cup. After the game, the number 10 said he didn’t feel any discomfort during the game – he had stayed two matches away with an injury to his right ankle.

“I didn’t feel anything in my ankle, thank God,” he said. Neymar stated that he liked his performance, but that he expects more. “I don’t think I can be satisfied with today’s game, and [preciso] keep growing. Today’s highlight was our squad, the full squad, not just one player.”

The number 10 celebrated having been able to play again. “What we wanted was to play well, and we did that. And the fans are to be congratulated.”

Tite said that he was only sure that the players were cleared for the dispute against Korea after training, when the team’s medical department made the athletes available to the coach.

“The certainty of them I only had after the last training”, he said. “We did a job and, in the end, he [Neymar] was already cleared by the medical department.”

The striker trained with the national team for the first time after the injury this Sunday (4), after being out of two games in the group stage.

Training going well was the condition imposed by Tite for the attacker to enter the match against Korea. The number 10 suffered ligament damage to his right ankle on his debut against Serbia.

In addition to him, who also returned to the field this Monday was right-back Danilo.

Left-back Alex Sandro is banned. The athlete had a muscle problem in his left leg during the confrontation with the Swiss and has not yet recovered.

There were five injured in the group stage alone. Those who are definitely out of the World Cup are striker Gabriel de Jesus and right-back Alex Telles.
