The Brazilian team returned to training this Tuesday (6th), in Doha, Qatar, one day after the 4-1 defeat of South Korea, which qualified the team for the quarterfinals of the World Cup.
While the team’s holders did only regenerative work, those who did not start the confrontation carried out tactical activities in a reduced field.
About half an hour after the start of training, left-back Alex Sandro appeared on the lawn, talked to physical trainer Fabio Mahseredjian and, afterwards, did a physical circuit under the guidance of the professional.
The player is in the final stages of recovery from a hip injury that has ruled him out of the last two games against Cameroon and South Korea. He lives the expectation of returning to the green-and-yellow formation against Croatia, for the quarterfinals, next Friday (9).
Considered one of Tite’s trusted men, Alex Sandro made himself available to play against the South Koreans, but the coaching staff decided to keep him and postpone his return.
The idea is that he plays when he is 100% physically so as not to take any risks. His immediate backup, Alex Telles, suffered an injury against Cameroon and is out of the World Cup. In the last match, right-back Danilo played improvised on the left.
This Tuesday, Telles said goodbye to his teammates and left for Spain. He will continue treatment on his right knee at club Sevilla.
