Mônica Bergamo: Galvão Bueno will receive honors in his farewell to narrations in the Cup final

Even without the Brazilian national team on the field, Galvão Bueno’s farewell to Globo’s football match narrations will be marked by a series of tributes. Before leading the final game of the Qatar Cup, between Argentina and France, on Sunday (18), the announcer will recall his catchphrases and historic moments in Esporte Espetacular.

The attraction will also feature testimonials from people on the streets about how Galvão’s narrations marked their lives.

Although he is saying goodbye to football games, the announcer will remain at Globo, in another contract model, valid for two years. The agreement provides for the participation of the narrator in one program per year on TV Globo and the voiceover of institutional calls for Sport on the broadcaster.

Also before the transmission of the final match of the Cup, Galvão will lead a pre-game with the exhibition of the closing ceremony and the participation of the announcer Luís Roberto and the commentators Ana Thais Matos, Júnior, Caio Ribeiro and Roger Flores.

The dispute for third place between Morocco and Croatia, on Saturday (17), will be narrated on Globo by Renata Silveira, who became the first woman to narrate a World Cup on open TV.
