Christovasilis: “No one knocked on the door of PAS, the purchase of Panaitolikos is a strange move”

Regarding the fact that until today no one has been interested in the purchase of PAS Ioannina, but also in the transfer of the majority stake in Panaitolikos from Fotis Kostoulas to the Kaminski family, which he characterized as strange, he spoke to ITV, George Christovasilis.

In detail what he said:

Regarding the possibility of selling PAS Ioannina: “At the moment, as many years as I have been in PAS, no one has been found to knock on my door for the team. The years pass and we grow up and it is logical that there is fatigue, from the overall involvement with football. Some things happen that make you sad and you don’t get over them easily. In football in Greece, the good moments are always few and easily forgotten. But what always bothers us is that there is a double standard between the big and the small groups. We all treat the young and the old in a different way and see what decisions were made regarding the punishment with Olympiakos. The situation in EPO today is the worst it has ever been, in the years that at least I have been involved in football”.

For the purchase of Panaitolikos by the Kaminski family: “No procedure has yet been completed, nor has anything been ratified in the Professional Sports Commission. Personally, I don’t see it with a positive eye, because a new investor, in a team with what is coming, would not sell his two best players, instead of strengthening the team. It is indeed a strange move for him to go and invest in a city that has no airport, no port, no tourism, nothing to offer him financially. Not even from the tickets can anyone say that he will win something so big which made him invest. The changes in the administrations of the provincial teams cannot change the fate of Greek football. This can only be done when management changes in the big teams.”
