Zverev is innocent due to lack of evidence!

by

Another episode in the case of abuse of the German Olya Sharipova by her ex-husband, a tennis player Alexander Zverev took place on the morning of Tuesday, January 31.

This time the competent “body” of the ATP that had dealt with the specific charge decided not to punish the German tennis player due to a lack of evidence.

It is recalled that the former partner of No. 14 on the board during her complaints in 2020 had invoked both the exercise of emotional and physical violence. The relevant ATP committee had hired a private company to carry out an investigation.

As is characteristically stated following the statements of the two involved, 24 more people, including family and friends, but also the “search” of audio-visual material detected on the tennis player’s computer did not reveal any testimony or evidence of violence.

ATP, however, reserves the right to resurface the case file in the event that any new condition is revealed that might alter the existing data.

Alexander Zverev had climbed to the world No. 2 ranking in June 2022 while he was out after suffering a serious injury in the Roland Garros semi-final against Rafael Nadal, returning to the courts in early 2023.
