Anxiety about the Extraordinary Meeting of the Super League – Common front of the teams

by

Today is expected with particular interest Extraordinary meeting of the Super League in which the issue of restrictions on the presence of spectators in the stadiums will be raised after yesterday’s announcements of the measures by the Government.

According to what became known, the occupancy rate in the stadiums drops to 10% with a maximum number of fans in total reaching up to 1000 people.

This decision brought great reactions from the PAEs of the Super League, which at the extraordinary noon meeting seem to be coming, for one of the few times in recent years, forming common front. The goal, as it is understood, will be for the teams to enter into discussions with the competent bodies in order to have a change in the measures, with an increase of the percentage of occupancy in the stadiums.

This information was conveyed by Costas Karapapas in the statements he made this morning on News Bulletin 247, pointing out that this is the intention of the teams, proposing that the same should apply to the issue of stadiums as to the other spectacles.

“We understand that there is a mood for two meters and two weights for the way we deal with things. It focuses on football and consequently the fans, whom it helps to relax from everyday life. As long as we operate, there should be equal meters and equal weights in the spectacles and football is a spectacle offered in open spaces.

This is an absurd decision, since those who decided do not know what they have decided. “We have people who enter open spaces, have been checked at their entrance and respectfully observe the measures”, said among other things the vice-president of PAE Olympiakos.

The extraordinary meeting is scheduled for 15:00 without the presence of representatives in the same place but through relevant programs.
