Eleftheria Pleuritou is the third best pole-sitter in Europe for 2022, following the results of the relevant LEN poll. The Olympiacos international at the European Championship in Split last September won the silver medal with the National team, while she was also crowned European champion with the “red and white” and, thus, gathered 17.57% of preferences, compared to 31.80% of her of the first Spanish Judith Forca and 27.37% of the second, the Hungarian Rita Keszhely.

The top five are completed by the Dutch Brigitte Slicking (14.63%) and the Italian Roberta Bianconi (8.42%).

In 2008, Alexandra Asimaki emerged as the leader in the “old continent”.

In men’s polo, the Spanish goalkeeper Unai Aguirre emerged as the top European polo player with 36.39% of the votes.

In swimming, the Romanian David Popovici emerged as the leader with 56.16% of the votes and the Lithuanian Ruta Meilutite with 37.20% with a small difference from the second, the Swedish Sara Sestrem, who collected 35.11%.

In Artistic Swimming, the leaders were Giorgio Minisini with 75.80% and Marta Fiedina with 60.61%, while Vasiliki Alexandri, who competes in the colors of Austria, was third with 16.41% of the votes.

In diving, first were Jack Logger with 36.21% and Chiara Pelakani with 28.29%, in OPEN WATER Giorgio Paltrinieri with 63.79% and Sharon van Ruwendal with 55.12%, while in High Diving, who was included in the voting for the first time, first were Konstantin Popovici with 64.77% and Iris Schmidbauer with 57.76%.
