THE Dejan Radonic is since yesterday a thing of the past for his bench Panathinaikou. The “greens” are already looking for the solution for the next day, wanting to entrust the reins to a coach of known value, with the quite possible scenario of hiring an official until the summer, when the agreement with a top coach will be more feasible.
The sport-fm.gr asked for the public’s… help. Through a poll, he invited his readers to choose who they consider to be the ideal replacement for the outgoing coach between six options. Participation was massive, reaching 10,000 votes, but opinions were quite divided.
THE Pablo Lassowho is a free agent after his acrimonious divorce from Real Madrid, led the preferences but not with a huge 28.5%.
Second with almost 22% is the old friend Sarunas Yasikeviciuswho is committed to Barcelona at least until the summer, but it seems that if he does not win the Euroleague, he will leave after three years.
Third and with quite a strong current, despite his… red and white past, is the free agent Yannis Sfeiropoulos with about 17.5%.
Fourth and at a close distance from the… podium, there is another old acquaintance, o Xavi Pascual with 16.3%, although he is bound by a strong and large contract from Zenit.
Further back in preferences, but without being indifferent to the public, is the former federal technician Andrea Trinchieri of Bayern with 10% and o Velimir Perasovic of Unix with almost 6%.
