His services Thiago Silva from the center of its defense Chelseawill be without Graham Potter for the next six weeks.
The Brazilian defender hit his leg in the first half of the derby against Tottenham (26/02) and left with a forced substitution only in the 19th minute. In fact, after the tests he underwent, a knee problem was found, which means he will be sidelined for six weeks, while the “blues” also issued an announcement about his injury.
Chelsea’s announcement:
“Having injured his knee during the first half of Sunday’s game against Tottenham, Thiago underwent further assessment and scans on his return to training on Monday.
The test results from these assessments confirmed the damage to Thiago’s knee ligaments and he will now work closely with the club’s medical department during his rehabilitation to return to action as soon as possible.”
Thus, the 38-year-old will not be available to Potter for the crucial replay of his “16” Champions League opposite to Dortmund (07/03), in Chelsea’s only remaining goal this season.
