Panathinaikos-Panaitolikos: “Three points” and spectacle for one, the… streak for the other

by

Panathinaikos welcomes Panaitolikos at “Apostolos Nikolaidis” today (03/06, 19:30 – www.sport-fm.gr, News Bulletin 247, Cosmote Sport 1), in the last scheduled game of the 25th matchday of the Stoiximan Super League .

The “greens” remain at the top of the scoreboard, even with a game more than the second AEK and they want to defend their lead.

They come from the “white” draw in the derby with Olympiakos, without having a good performance, especially in the second half, but also without being defeated at the opposite end in another difficult match!

Based on the aforementioned data, therefore, it is only natural that they are only looking for the three points against their current opponent.

This, of course, is not (should be) the only goal of Panathinaikos, since Ivan Jovanovic and his players are called upon to combine the result with their return to good performances!

Achieving as comfortable a victory as possible, ideally with enough goals and to regain their morale, in order to close the regular season with a “double” in Peristeri, over Atromitos.

At the competitive level now, Panathinaikos has to deal with the last minute contingency, with the absence of Bernard, while the suspended Sarlia is not counted.

Specifically, the home team consists of Brignoli, Lodgin, Xenopoulos, Vaiannidis, Huancar, Ruben, Senkefeld, Pouhats, Ioannidis, Kleinheisler, Sporar, Sanchez, Cerin, Mancini, Tsokai, Kourbelis, Magnuson, Kotsiras, Palasios, Poungouras and Kampetsis.

On the other side, the Aitoloakarnania team seems to be on a good momentum, judging at least by the fact that they have taken four points in their last two games in the league.

Having at the same time occupied the eighth place in the standings and showing with her image that she will hardly “get involved” in … adventures with her stay in the playoffs, she will not have any stress tonight.

With Panaitolikos looking to continue their unbeaten run, but facing a big opponent and a number of important absences at the same time…

As Yannis Anastasiou does not count the punished Kolovos-Dias and the injured Dago and Bakakis.

In the visiting team are Anestis, Apostolakis, Houhoumis, Nosirou, Mladen, Karelis, Pedro, Hatzitheodoridis, Graterol, Duarte, Larson, Martenson, Bouzoukis, Voilis, Huanpi, Xenitidis, Morsey, Sengelia, Malis and Liavas.

Possible lineups:

Panathinaikos (Ivan Jovanovic, 4-3-3): Brignoli, Kotsiras, Senkefeld, Magnusson, Huancar, Kourbelis, Ruben, Cerin, Palacios, Sporar, Mancini.

Panaitolikos (Yiannis Anastasiou, 4-3-3): Graterol, Liavas, Larson, Malis, Houhoumis, Mladen, Martenson, Duarte, Sengelia, Karelis, Morsey.
