Nainggolan: “In Antwerp they treated me like a parasite”

He went on the counterattack Raja Nainggolan!

The Belgian defensive midfielder, who last January returned to Italy on behalf of SPAL, referred to the period when he was playing in Antwerp, saying that everyone in the team treated him as a “parasite” while also commenting on the management’s decision to put him on the “ice” for the his case cigarette with which he was “arrested”.

What he said in detail to the “Antwerp Gazette”

“In Antwerp they treated me like a parasite, like I was a foreigner… They took Offermars as sporting director to try to bring me back to the main team, but nobody had the courage to go against the president. I did my best in the second team, I supported the younger ones… I’ve been to many clubs and I’ve never been treated like this, I couldn’t even get through the main door to the training centre.

My daughters were the main reason I came back to Belgium. Otherwise I could only be with them on holidays and I wanted to stay in Antwerp. Even if I was losing a lot of money, as it happened, but that wasn’t a problem. But the president even forced me to leave the country and I will never forgive him for that. At SPAL I play for much less money but with pleasure and enjoyment”‘

We remind you that Nainggolan has played in Antwerp since the summer of 2021, recording a total of 55 appearances in which he found the net six times.
