Stoiximan Super League: The 26th matchday is dedicated to the fight against sexism

by

THE Stoiximan Super League made a very important move and dedicates the 26th matchday in the fight against sexism and all kinds of discrimination.

Analytically:

The Super League supports the awareness initiative against sexism and all kinds of discrimination and dedicates the 26th match day of the Stoiximan Super League Championship to the awareness of the society.

Sexism, any act or word that states that some people, especially women, are inferior to others, harms society.

Sexist acts foster a climate of intimidation, fear and insecurity and have an impact on the individual’s school, family and work environment.

As part of this initiative, in all matches of the 26th matchday of the Stoiximan Super League, football players of the teams will hold cards with messages against sexism, while at the same time relevant messages will be spoken and videos will be shown.

The deputy president of the Super League Katia Koxenoglou noted the following:

“It goes without saying that the Super League is against sexism and any rhetoric that incites discrimination.

It goes without saying that we must leave no room for manifestations of hatred, violence and disrespect.

On the contrary, we must emphasize at every opportunity that we are all equal and must show respect for diversity.

A key pillar is information and education, and the Super League puts “goals” on the sexism that prevails in the now male-dominated sports arena, such as the stadiums.

We want everyone to have equal opportunities and equal rights on and off the playing field.”
