THE Italy will have three clubs in tomorrow’s quarter-final draw Champions League. Two of them, in fact, from the same city since in the “8” there are both Milan as well as Inter.
Somewhere here an unknown regulation of the Italian media is published UEFA regarding teams based in the same stadium, as is the case with Milan and Inter. And it may, based on the lottery, be applied and… burden the “neratzuri”.
According to the regulation of the European federation, two matches are not allowed Champions League at the same stadium within 48 hours or 24 hours apart to make it simpler. Which means that since Inter and Milan if they are both drawn to play the first or second leg at home, then one of them must find another stadium.
In this case the group that is expected to… migrate is the Inter since the regulation states that the club that in its lottery Champions League was weaker, then it “moves”.
And in the draw that took place last August, the Milan was in the first capacity group (pot) as Italian champion, while Inter was in 3rd.
If something like this actually happens, we will be talking about a historical event. And the management of “neratzuri” will be asked to immediately find the stadium that will host their home game. It remains to be seen what that will be…
?? OJO I There is a condition in tomorrow’s Champions draw: the UEFA regulations do not allow two games to be celebrated 24 hours apart in the same stadium.
Si se da el caso, el Inter debe ‘move’ su localia al estar en peor bombo en el initiale raffle. pic.twitter.com/wZZEjWBAVD
