EPO will help Super League 2 financially

At the Board of Super League 2 on Wednesday, the 30 teams of the category were informed about the meeting held by the president of the League, Petros Martsoukos, with the president of the EPO, Panagiotis Baltakos, in which it was agreed to find a solution for the financial support of the category.

At the same time, it was decided to send a request to the Federation to finish this year’s championship on June 18 instead of May 28, in order to reduce the consecutive midweek matches.

In detail, the announcement:

“The Board of Directors of Super League 2 has been completed, the members of which were informed about the following issues:

1) Meeting of the President, Mr. Martsoukos, with his EPO counterpart, Mr. Baltako, where the latter agreed to help find solutions for the financial support of the category.

2) It was decided to send a request to the EPO for an extension to the end date of the Betsson Super League 2 championship from May 28 to June 18, 2023.

3) A plan for the continuation of the Super League 2 U19 championship will be sent to PAE, as after its suspension the completion dates of the regular season matches coincide with the promotional and pan-Hellenic exams.”
