Panathinaikos stepped on PAS Ioannina and is going at full speed for the first cup of the season!

Qualifying for his grand final Final Four of the Women’s Cup celebrated on Friday afternoon (24/03) o Panathinaikosprevailing 81-62 of the battle PAS Ioannina in the Closed of Zofria, in the first semi-final of the day!

After a balanced first quarter, Eleni Capoyannis’ team dominated the match, imposing its own pace against an admittedly competitive team like that of PAS, as a result of which it reached the coveted qualification, which is the fourth in its history in the organization.

Leading for the winners was Emily Potter with an impressive double-double with 24 points and 17 rebounds, closely followed by Carter (16p., 5r.) and h Christinaki (14p., 3r.). For the team of Yiannis Margaritis, who competes in A2, stood out Briggs (17p., 11r.) and Ewondo (18p., 8r.), which were found in an excellent evening.

THE PAS Ioannina entered the match quite strongly, where with baskets by Briggs and Egwobo he had the upper hand in the score from the beginning, leading with 8-5 at 4′. In fact, the typical guests continued to find solutions through the “drawing room”, by going at +5 and 12-7 in five minutes.

In the fourth and final period, Panathinaikos showed that it did not want to get involved in any further incidents. With the Sotiriou and Potter to lead the “green” attack and achieve six points each, Panathinaikos jumped the difference to +17 for the 72-55 in the middle of the decade.

The game was essentially decided, with the “clover” increasing the difference even more in the remaining minutes, with the final horn of the match finding Panathinaikos the winner with a score of 81-62.
