Youth National Team… present: Triumph over Ireland at its “home” and qualification for Euro 2023!

A terrible – as it seems – bunch of players it would be a shame and unfair if the summer is not in Malta! And it will be. Once more!

THE National Youth prevailed 1-0 of Ireland at ”Ferrycarrig Park” in Wexford with his own goal Emery in 48′, she finished first in her group and ceremoniously qualified to Euro 2023which will be held in July (3 to 16) in the island nation!

In fact, the “blue and white” is returning to the final phase of the European Championship after 2015!

In regards to the game against the Irish, in the 41st minute Grayan’s header came off the crossbar beam of Monastirlis and in the 44th minute Tsikos’ shot was blocked with difficulty by Mason. In the 48th minute, the National team found it coveted qualifying goal. Koutsias entered the area from the right, turned the ball over to the incoming player Emerywhich with a close finish gave Greece the lead.

In the 53′, Zefi found himself in a four-four position, but sent the ball just wide. In the 82nd minute Ferizai sent the ball to beam of Monastirlis with a powerful shot. The national team withstood the pressure of the Irish and the final whistle of the Dutch referee Van Der Eyck gave the trigger for wild celebrations in the blue and white mission.
