Stoiximan Super League: The battle for survival is on!

With extremely important matches the 4th matchday of the Playouts in the Stoiximan Super League continues. PAS Ioannina is tested at the home of Atromitos, while OFI welcomes Lamia.

In the games at 19:30, Levadeiakos is hosted by Asteras Tripoli and Ionikos faces Panaitolikos.

FEARLESS-PASS YANNINA

Three of the last four games between the two teams have ended in a 1-1 draw, while this season Atromitos won 2-1. The last victory of PAS Ioannina was on March 20, 2021 with 1-0 in Epirus.

In the last 15 games between the two teams for all competitions, only three have been won by the home team, with Atromitos doing so twice and PAS Ioannina just once.

OFI – LAMIA

In 2018-19 Lamia faced OFI for the first time in the Super League and managed to prevail in both their encounters. Since then there have been nine games between the two venues and their 2-1 win on 29 January 2021 was the only one.

The OFI team has six wins and two draws in the other eight matches. These two draws are in the last two they have given to Heraklion and in fact they are without a goal being scored. The last time a goal was scored in Crete was on January 7, 2021 with 2-0 with Staikos and Vafeas scoring the goals.

Last year the two teams played for the Playouts in Lamia, where OFI won 2-1 thanks to the goals of Staikos and Felipe, while Loukaos scored for the Fthiotida team. They also played for the Playouts in 2020-21, where again OFI won in Lamia 2-0.

ASTERAS TRIPOLIS – LEVADEIAKOS

The last three games of the two teams in the league have ended in a draw, with the two matches that have been held in Tripoli ending 0-0. These are also their only meetings with home team Asteras Tripoli where no goals have been scored.

For this year’s championship, the match in Boeotia ended with 1-1, while in Tripoli on January 15, 2023, the two teams remained at 0-0. In fact, these were the first draws in the history of their meetings in Tripoli, since until the 0-0 draw on April 7, 2019 – there were eight victories of Asteras and two of Levadeaikos there.

Asteras Tripoli finished the league with three consecutive home draws, all with goals, while they won 2-1 in the 1st matchday of the Playouts against Panaitolikos in stoppage time and took the three points after January 30, 2023, when they had prevailed with 1-0 of Panathinaikos.

Levadeiakos have not recorded a win away from home this season, and due to their absence from the Super League in recent years, the last was on February 24, 2019 with a 1-0 win in Xanthi.

PANAETOLIKOS – IONIKOS

This is only the second season that the two teams have co-existed in the Super Leaague, having had their own long history in the division, but at different times.

In the only five total matches between the two teams, there are two victories of Panaitolikos, two draws and one victory of Ionians, which was recorded in last year’s Playouts process, on May 15, 2022 with 3-1 (9′ Dalsio, 62′ Turam, 86′ Mantzis – 47′ Karelis) in a match that had taken place with the host Ionikos.

This season the match in Nice ended 1-1, while in Agrinio Panaitolikos prevailed 1-0 thanks to Dimitris Kolovos’ goal.

This season, Ionikos scored two victories first away from home, in Heraklion with OFI and in Lamia and then took the first three points at home, with Aris and Asteras Tripoli.

Panaitolikos’ last home win was against Ionian on 19 February 2023, one of two in the second half of the league, the other being against Atromitos on 4 January 2023 with a 2-0 win over Atromitos.
