Oliveira: “It is unacceptable not to know when and where the Cup final will take place”

by

Position on the issue that has arisen with the conduct of the final of the Greek Cup was taken by Nelson Oliveira, who referred to his participation PAOK in another final and parallel talked about his future in the “Bicep of the North”.

Excerpts from what Nelson Oliveira told Live Sport

For PAOK’s qualification to the Cup final: “It is a fact that every year PAOK participates in the final of the Cup and claims trophies. We achieved this goal, that is to qualify for the final, and we have a chance to claim the trophy. But right now, after our qualification, we have to focus our attention on the league and the crucial playoff games that follow, because we have a very difficult task.”

About his future and discussions about his new contract: “I’m not thinking about my contract at the moment, only about my team and the obligations it has in the league and in the Cup final. When the season is over, then we’ll be able to say more about that. I have not hidden what I want and how much I love the team. At the moment there are enough games ahead of us and the season is not over. The important thing is for PAOK to win and to win the Cup again.”

Regarding the issue with the venue of the Cup final: “This is the situation in Greece. I would not like to say anything specific at this time, nor to judge someone or others, maybe it would be unfair in such a case. But in general, what is happening is unacceptable. From the start of the season we should know when the final will take place and where it will take place. We are not puppets to say that we will play on the 20th, or the 24th, or the 27th of the month. We had to know from the beginning of the season when it was going to happen, where it was going to happen and not get to the point where we are at this particular moment in time. In any case, this is a negative situation for the teams.”
