With relevant information, the German Anti-Doping Agency made a suspicious sample of 21-year-old Jason George from Chemnitz.
The announcement in detail:
“As part of the tests by the National Anti-Doping Agency (NADA), the basketball player of the German league, Jason George (Chemnitz), had a suspicious test sample. As such, NADA has initiated an investigation into a possible violation of anti-doping regulations.
Jason George has been suspended from easyCredit Basketball Bundesliga play and was not present for Chemnitz’s home game against Hamburg on Saturday afternoon.
All further steps will result from the NADA investigation process until the end of which the presumption of innocence applies.
Jason George, 21, joined Chemnitz on loan from Bayern Munich last December and will play for the club until the end of the 2023-24 season under the deal.
Since his move, George has played a total of 30 games in the German league and the FIBA Europe Cup, averaging 4.6 points.
Chemnitz is clearly against doping of any kind and will review its steps in relation to player Jason George depending on the further course of the NADA proceedings.”
