Stoiximan Super League: “Match of life and death” in Lamia

“Your death, my life” is tonight’s game in Lamia, where the local team of the same name welcomes Levadeiakos for the 6th matchday of the Stoiximan Super League playouts.

OFI, for its part, wants to “capture” the 7th place, but also not to give rights to the game with Ionikos.

PAS Ioannina, despite the many and important absences, wants to finish the matter with his stay, in the game against Asteras Tripoli. Finally Atromitos welcomes Panaitolikos.

FEARLESS – FANTASTIC

In last year’s match between the two teams for the Playouts, Atromitos won 3-2 in Agrinio, something that also happened in the 2020-21 season, when they won 3-1. Their only Playouts game against Atromitos was on July 6, 2020 and ended in a 2-2 draw.

In the regular season of the championship there was a 1-1 draw in Peristeri in the First Round of the Stoiximan Super League and in Agrinio Panaitolikos prevailed 2-0. Atromitos has two wins in the last seven games against Panaitolikos, but both were away games and their last one in Peristeri was on October 26, 2020 with 2-0.

In total the two teams have met 14 times when Atromitos are at home and draws have been the dominant result in six appearances, with their last goalless encounter coming on 14 September 2014.

OFI – IONIKOS

Ionikos had scored its first victory in this year’s championship against OFI in the 11th matchday and it was its second consecutive in Heraklion, after having prevailed on March 19, 2022 in their only meeting so far for the Playouts with 3-2.

In their last four games, the home team has not won, since in both of their matches this year there were victories for the guests, with Ionikos winning 2-0 in Heraklion and OFI 2-0 in Nice.

After the return of Ionikos to the Stoiximan Super League, a total of five matches have been held, and only in the first of them was a victory for the home team, on November 28, 2021 with 2-1 OFI in Crete.

In total, they have met 19 times in their history with OFI at home and in none of these games has there been a draw. In contrast, in Nice there are six draws in a total of 18 matches.

PAS YIANNINA – ASTERAS TRIPOLIS

The two teams will meet for the first time in the process of the Stoiximan Playouts, since they did not co-exist in any of the previous three.

In their last ten games there have been only three home wins, with Asteras Tripoli having two and the other coming to PAS Ioannina in their regular season fixture this year. The previous home win of the Epirus team was on August 24, 2014 with 3-1. In the six that had intervened with PAS at home between these two victories, Asteras Tripoli had two victories and in the last four there was a draw.

PAS Ioannina prevailed in their last home game against Panaitolikos and broke a negative streak that wanted them to not have a win at home since January 3, 2023 and 2-1 against AEK. This was only PAS Ioannina’s second home win in 2023, while Asteras Tripoli has not won any away game both in the regular season of the league and in the Playouts.

LAMIA – LEVADEIAKOS

The two teams have co-existed for just three seasons in the Stoiximan Super League and in a total of six meetings in both venues, Lamia has maintained its unbeaten record, with two wins and four draws. At home, they have won two out of three matches and only the first historically that took place at home ended with 0-0.

Without goals there are only two and it is the first they gave each other, on November 6, 2017 (Lamia – Levadeiakos 0-0) and the last in time, on January 22, 2023 (Levadiakos – Lamia 0-0).

Levadeiakos played his first away game this season in Tripoli with Asteras for the Stoiximan Playouts process and did not have another three-pointer away from home during the regular season. For their part, Lamia has three consecutive home wins, one in the last home for the regular season and two in the Playouts. Before this streak, he had only beaten Levadeiakou on October 1, 2022.
