Ethnikos took third place

Ethnikis defeated Glyfada 9-8 in Piraeus in the third “minor” final of the A1 women’s polo and took third place in the championship, leaving the southern suburbs team, but with both having secured the “ticket” for the European events of next season.

Alcestis Benekou was the one who decided the derby in an impressive game that was decided at the end. In the third period, Hatzikyriakaki scored 7-5 for Ethniki, Kontogianni reduced 7-6 and Irini Ninu equalized 7-7.

Hatzikyriakaki once again gave a lead to Piraeus 8-7 and in the last period the derby reached its climax. Fundotu equalized again for 8-8 and Alc.Benekou made the final 9-8, 2′:49” before the end.
